Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) – Terminals, Airlines & Transport Guide
About Kuala Lumpur International Airport
Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) is Malaysia’s primary aviation hub and one of Southeast Asia’s major gateways. Located in Sepang, approximately 28 miles (45 km) south of Kuala Lumpur city centre, the airport is famous for its “Airport in the Forest” concept, featuring lush greenery within the terminal.
It operates as two distinct terminals—KLIA1 (Main) and KLIA2 (Terminal 2)—which function almost like separate airports. Together, they handle over 60 million passengers annually.
